Last week, for my boyfriends 21st birthday, I decided to see what was on in Cardiff, to take him somewhere different, for an experience he would never forget. As there wasn't many things that took my fancy, I decided on a priceless day out, to the X Factor Live auditions. Of course, we didn't go there to audition ourselves. That would be terrible, and we would definitely appear on tv as the worst singers going. We in fact went to watch the auditionees singing live for their opportunity to get through to 'boot camp.'Although I know how much of a set up the X Factor actually is, with the auditionees pretending to do their first audition when it is probably more likely their fourth or fifth, it was still interesting to see how the programme itself is actually organised and constructed. May I add though that being in the audience of Britain's Got Talent is far more fun, as you can boo people off the stage and the whole thing seems a little less, shall I say, fixed.
A wonderful surprise when in the audience of the X Factor was the new and improved judging panel! I had a feeling that the new judges were going to be a huge let down, but I was totally wrong, as Gary Barlow (from Take That), Kelly Rowland (Destiny's Child), Tulisa Contostavlos (N-Dubz) and the good old Louis Walsh took the show by storm by making the crowd hysterical and shocked at times! My personal favourite judge had to be Kelly Rowland.I have loved her since I was a small child, and her sense of humour will never cease to amaze me, with her witty one liners and fantastic typically American comments, she definitely made the show for me.
We had such a fantastic day out, followed by a McDonalds and a night of barbecue food, chocolate fountains and sunshine, accompanied by some wonderful friends and family. A great day out, and a lovely birthday treat. I do hope to go back when the X Factor is in Cardiff again, but next time, I will be on the stage. Only joking, I wouldn't do that to your ears.

Glitter
